New National Equipment Database Video
Apr
Check out our new video on ILCs YouTube Channel which is a simple guide to using the Independent Living Centres Australia (ILCA) Equipment Database.
The free database has over 10,000 assistive technology and equipment products to help people remain independent and improve their quality of life.
It is a one-stop-information-source for assistive equipment items that are available Australia-wide; and provides quick and easy access to information about products that enable people to better manage tasks at home, school, work and in the community.
Consumers can gain unbiased advice about a range of products to suit their needs. The extensive range of equipment featured includes items to open jars and make turning taps on and off easier; computer access items; communication devices; scooters, wheelchairs and walking aids; emergency call systems; technology; back supports, cushions and comfortable chairs; exercise equipment; sexual aids and much more.
People who are young or ageing, have a disability or health problem, are a carer, service provider or health care worker may find the database useful and are encouraged to view the short video to see how simple it is to use!
