This year ILC is running a series of education sessions for WACH’s (WA Country Health Service) staff to provide them with professional development opportunities via Video Conferencing.
It is something that the Independent Living Centre (ILC) participates in each year in collaboration with WA Country Health Service (WACHS), Disability Services Commission (DSC), The Centre for Cerebral Palsy (TCCP), Rehabilitation Engineering Clinic (REC), State Child Development Centre (SCDC) and Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH).
The first session being held on Monday 17th February from 10am to 12noon, ‘An Introduction to Disability Agencies Videoconference Session’ is an overview of these organisations services, how to contact them, and the referral process. Please complete this registration form to take part.
ILC is then running four more sessions throughout 2014 on a range of topics as requested by WACH’s staff via a survey late in 2013. These include:
- 18th March 10-11am: Where to access funding for equipment (Presented by Nicki Longmire or Heather Whitworth, Occupational Therapists, Grants Team at ILC)
- 13th June 10am-11am: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (Presented by Kelly Moore or Amy Litton, Occupational Therapists, ILC Tech)
